It's that time again! : D
I need everyone's help on this piece xD because I'm completely stuck.
This WILL be how it's hanging, and I need to know what else you guys think I should bring into the picture. Big or small, all ideas are helpful (o:
I'm planning on finishing the room behind her to look more realistic
and I do realize that there are overlaps in some of the lineart. I put this together very hastily in photoshop out of about...4 scanned pieces. Not perfect, I understand xD
SO, pleeeeease give me your input! I need more in this picture, there's too much negative space, and I know everyone out there has a very creative mind (o:
Gorgeous...!!
Well I'm not sure what mood you want to give here, or what you want to show exactly but perhaps you should have something on the floor by where her head is and the wall. Something spilled or broken. That way, it adds something to that part of the picture but anything spilled or broken in pieces can trail across just a bit so that the eyes move around.
Get what I'm sayin? If spilled maybe grape juice, wine, or milk to tie the colors from the rest of the picture.. but preferably not orange or red that is Crayola basic or paler; something rich (like wine or grape juice!)
Maybe throw some car keys too on the floor.
Wow! This looks so great the way it is now! But filling in more of the background will make it more interesting. I pictured it with a wooden floor, but I still like the faded out parts of it, too. Wow I make no sense!
although i think you shouldn't detail the background too much. the focus should be on the figure... it already is, but i think that detailing the background much further would subtract from it. i like the way you've hinted at an edge with just colour in the turquoise (on my monitor anyways) above her body. i think that type of technique would suit the b/g most if you were to do anything further with it. but other than that.. this image is just stunning. i'm in love with the reds.
honestly, i like it enough half done. personally, i'd stop and maybe just consider having this be your final.
i like it unfinished because it leaves a ot to the viewers imagination. scenarios, techniques they could 'finish' the piece with, questions in the viewers head, and i just think it creates a lot of visual interest as well.
whatever you decide, you've got an excellent start
