I don't know if it's the size or the fact that you nailed the texture so well, but the shoes really steal the show in this piece. It almost has a collage-like quality to it because different components of the image have stark differences in weight and style. Everything about it drags the eyes down, most of all those shoes pointing down in an arrow, closer to the foreground. Altogether, it's a very interesting piece that delights the eye.
