maybe it's the colors?
Anyway for a critiqueeeee I would say I love SO many of the things going on in this image, but a couple of thangs bring it down
- the title/typography. It's hitting alot of tangents, so I would either make it smaller or have it blatantly overlap part of the image. (I like the typography....but my teachers and graphic design friends shiver at my taste in type sometimes...BUT WHAT EVEN IS GOOD GRAPHIC DESIGN?!!? ;____
- I wish the staff was on a slight diagonal
It's no big deal, it just a noticeable vertical, and there aren't many other verticals. But it echoes the bg color nicely and helps get us to the author and the title
-The way the colors are working together
I feel like parts of it are working, but it difficult to get to the character in the foreground. I'd say the areas of orange pops are really nice but they're a bit too small in scale to help get the viewers eyes from the back and to the front. I'd say it's because the hair, face, and body are all pretty muted colors. Maybe if one aspects had more saturation/hue to it. Maybe if her hair had a thin layer or wash of that orange? or if her body was a bit warmer?
haha sorry if i went on too long
I just see the word crit and I can't stopp X_X
