: ) Hello! I finally finished this little baby, after weeks and weeks of being lazy... This is a commission done for a friend, watermarked for her safety.
This is a finished product, so Crit. isn't really needed...but if you have any suggestions on howI could improve, I'd love to hear them! : )
EDIT: I've been getting asked a lot about the paper and media, so just that everyone knows, I use colored mi-tientes paper and prismacolor colored pencils. The primary sketch is done with a white charcoal pencil, after which I lay over the prismacolors (which don't erase) and wipe/erase the leftover charcoal. This piece is around 18x24 and took me...way too long. X3
This is simply beautiful. D: The way you are able to use so many colors to create the shadows and still make it seem "realistic" always amazes me , and this is no exception. If I had a friend who would commission something like this for me, I think I would die of joy. C:
Do you always use reference photographs for your poses or does this go straight from your head to the paper? I always find it interesting that you don't feel the need to color everything in and yet your drawings still manage to look finished and polished.
Very beautiful work, very colorful! It has a vibrant yet soothing in spots. You did a wonderful job with shading and contour in this image to make it seem more 3 dimensional in spots.
